Who benefits from Blend to Mend?
We uniquely designed our ready-to-drink products to provide optimal nutrition to individuals recently diagnosed with cancer and actively undergoing treatments (chemotherapy, radiation, humoral, immunotherapy, or surgery). We picked each ingredient to fulfill our user’s complex nutritional needs, complement medical therapy, and most important, help our loved ones taste real food again. Throughout each treatment course, our loved ones fighting cancer face immense difficulty obtaining proper nutrition. For some, it is the fatigue preventing them from preparing their favorite meals. For others, the side effects of therapy, such as taste changes, loss of appetite, and nausea, present a great challenge to tolerating normal food and results in weight loss across the therapy schedule.
Why use Blend to Mend smoothies over existing products, such as Ensure, Boost, or Orgain Nutrition?
Our products are made from whole-food ingredients that you can see, touch, and pronounce. Each recipe includes five major components - delicious fruit, fresh green vegetable, savory herb, nutritious nuts, and plant-based protein. We avoid additive flavoring, unnecessary sugars, and preservatives. Together, our recipes provide 550-650 calories and 28-35 grams of protein, setting us apart from our competitors in all-natural nutrient factor, calorie count, protein amount, and ultimately, wide variety of savory flavors.
During the production process, our team produces each recipe in small 3-serving batches using industrial blenders. The blended result is then poured into multiple cube trays, which are then placed into our blast freezer. Once the blend solidifies, we package and seal them into each bag as seen on our product page.
This process of blast freezing blended recipes as 1 ounce cubes have two major benefits. First, freezing our blends preserves nutrients and prevents any nutrient deterioration. This means, you are getting the freshest fruits, nuts, and vegetables at home when consuming a Blend to Mend product. Second, blast freezing our products to -18°F temperature effectively eliminates risk of bacteria harboring in raw ingredients, and thereby lowering risk of food poisoning to any of our users.

Is Blend to Mend vegan, diary-free, or soy-free?
We are technically vegan and dairy-free, but not soy-free. If you have soy allergies, please inform our team before ordering at hello@blendtomendnutrition.com.
What if I have allergies to the ingredients found in recipes?

Does Blend to Mend use probiotics?
All Blend to Mend flavors use a plant-based protein mix that includes probiotic supplementation (Organic Inulin, Bacillus coagulans GBI-30 6086). Please visit our blog post about role of probiotics in cancer care.

Can I give Blend to Mend as a gift?
Absolutely! Our mission at Blend to Mend is to not only help patients with cancer taste real food again, but also engage families and caregivers through meal time at the dinner table. We know that fighting cancer is a community effort. We created Blend to Mend with caregivers in mind, creating a way for loved ones to support and be a part of the cancer recovery journey.
Shipping
Where do you deliver?
We ship locally in the Greater Los Angeles Area within 1-3 days of placing order. Unfortunately, we cannot ship to PO Boxes. Please contact us at hello@blendtomendnutrition.com if you have specific delivery questions.
When do you deliver?
Our frozen smoothies can be delivered 7 days a week, and will arrive 1-3 days after placing order.
If you’re in a pinch, please email us at hello@blendtomendnutrition.com to expedite delivery for next day at no additional delivery fee.
What is the shipping fee?
We offer flat-rate shipping at $7 per shipment with no minimum order. You can order as little as a single smoothie and as many as you like -- and you still pay the same price per delivery.
How do I know when my order ships?
You’ll receive an email notification with tracking number when your order ships, and when the order is delivered.
How do you keep the order cold in transit?
We pack frozen smoothies in an insulated shipping box with enough cold gel packs to keep the contents perfectly frozen well into the evening of the delivery date. It gets as cold inside that box as your freezer: -4°F.
At home, we advise that you place all servings in the freezer (not door) immediately, understanding that you are receiving temperature sensitive ingredients.
No frozen goods will be in transit more than 6 hours.
Do I need to be home for the delivery?
Nope, no signature required! We authorize our last-mile delivery service to leave all packages at the shipping destination without a signature. That way, the recipient doesn’t have to be home to accept it, and frozen goods don’t melt during multiple delivery attempts, etc.
