Should I consider adding probiotics to my diet?
Probiotics have been shown to help prevent radiation- and chemotherapy-induced diarrhea, especially in those receiving radiation to the abdomen. Additional studies have demonstrated that probiotic supplementation during chemoradiation therapy is well tolerated.
Current national guidelines support starting probiotic supplements upon initiation of radiation to the abdomen or chemotherapy agent with diarrhea as a common side effect.
Does Blend to Mend use probiotics?
All Blend to Mend flavors use a plant-based protein mix that includes probiotic supplementation (Organic Inulin, Bacillus coagulans GBI-30 6086). Please visit our Ingredients & Nutrition page for more information.
